Ctrl + F is Junior's cheeky name for the tool that helps you pull colour commentary for quote slides. In the old days, you might have dropped in >100 pages of typed notes from a call and searched for ages for specific keywords to find that one quote you wanted to include in your report.
Now, with the advancements in search technology, Junior can help you find much richer and overlooked quotes. It works by understanding context and synonyms. Let's walk through how to get the best out of the Ctrl +F tool!
Conceptual matches use modern AI to surface search results that are close in meaning to the input query.
This type of search is super useful because sometimes you don't remember the exact words used, but you do remember the idea or topic. With semantic search, you can type what you're thinking, and it will help you find quotes or information that talk about that idea, even if they use different words.
Searching "car" might also find results for "automobile" or "vehicle."
Looking up "run fast" could bring up quotes that include "sprint" or "dash."
A search for "climate change" might surface results discussing "global warming" or "environmental shift."
Junior makes it really easy to hone in on the content that matters most to you. You can filter by any column tracked in the call tracker, eg:
Interview Segments: when you're looking for the perfect customer quote.
Countries: when you remember that some guy from Germany said something juicy.
Custom Metadata: anything you add in the call tracker is included as an option for filtering.
To apply filters:
One special, top-level, filter we've included is the ability to search original transcripts instead of the notes that Junior cleaned. This will only search over the original transcript generated by the audio file. It's helpful when you remember a specific phrase that an interviewee used and want to find it quickly.
After performing a search, Junior presents you with a set of rich search result. You can then:
Copy Quote: Click the 'Copy' icon to directly copy the quote into your clipboard, formatted with the specified attribution style from your project settings. This allows you to quickly and easily paste the quote into a slide deck.
Review Source: Access the quote transcript by clicking the 'Audit' button. This reveals a detailed view of both the Cleaned transcript and the Original transcript, and if available, allows you to listen to the corresponding audio fragment.
Save to Playlist: Use the pin icon to save important quotes into a Playlist. Clicking on this icon displays Playlists that the quote is already tagged to and all other available Playlists. You also have the option to create a new Playlist from this action.
