Playlists are a simple but powerful tool that helps you organise your primary research insights.
The best way to think about Playlists is that they are thematic bookmarks. There can often be significant time elapsed between when you conduct the primary research and when you move to output. If you come across a killer insight or quote that you want to ensure you remember to include in your report, you can pin it to a Playlist and categorize and save it for when you need it.
You can add QA blocks to as many playlists as you'd like - certain blocks are relevant to multiple themes.
There are two ways to create a new playlist. You can either navigate to the Playlists tab via the navbar and click the Create a Playlist button in the top left (underlined). This will bring up a modal asking you to name the Playlist.
Or you can create a new playlist from the contextual menu that pops up when you press the Pin icon, in the Transcript Review Flow or the Ctrl + F screen.
When you click into a particular Playlist from the main Playlists screen, you will be taken to a screen similar to the one below. All of the quotes saved to that particular Playlist will be present here, organised by interviewee. Similar to the Ctrl + F screen, you have the option to Copy, Pin or Audit quote cards.
Junior will also write a summary of the quotes you have tagged to a particular Playlist along the right-hand side.
