Anonymization lets you share an interview transcript without revealing who was interviewed. Junior removes or masks the expert's identifying details (their name, job title, and organization) so you can circulate the insight while protecting the source.

Turn on anonymization

Anonymization is set per project. When you turn it on, you choose which fields to anonymize:

  • Name
  • Job Title
  • Organization

Once enabled, Junior masks the fields you selected across the project's interviews.

View what changed on a call

On a call, use the View Anonymized toggle to see a diff of what changed: text that was added, changed, or deleted. The interviewee appears under an anonymized name such as Industry Expert.

Anonymization states you might see

Anonymization runs in the background, so you may see one of these states:

  • Anonymizing Interview Data…: Junior is working on it. Check back shortly.
  • Anonymization Failed: something went wrong. Try again, and contact support@myjunior.ai if it keeps happening.
  • Anonymization Not Supported: this call can't be anonymized – anonymization applies to interviews, not meetings.

These two features are easy to confuse, but they do different jobs. Anonymization masks who the expert is (their identity), so a transcript can be shared without exposing the source. Compliance redaction hides material non-public information that's flagged and waiting for review. One protects the person; the other manages regulatory risk.

Questions

What does the Organization field anonymize?

It affects the interview's metadata (who the interview is attributed to), not every mention of the organization inside the transcript text. If a company name comes up in conversation, that's part of the transcript content, not the interviewee's identity.

Why can't I anonymize this meeting?

Anonymization is built for interviews with an expert, where there's a single identity to mask. It isn't available for group meetings.
