Junior accepts files in two different places: when you upload a call, and when you attach files to JuniorGPT. The accepted formats are different in each, so this page covers both.
Uploading a call
When you add a call by upload, the file type decides what Junior does with it:
- Audio and video — Junior transcribes the recording, then cleans and analyzes it.
.mp3,.mp4,.m4a,.wav,.opus,.wma,.webm,.mkv,.wmv
- Transcript documents — Junior reads the text directly, with no transcription step.
.pdf,.docx
Maximum file size: 800 MB.
Your firm can limit which upload types are available. Depending on your setup, uploads may be restricted to audio and video only, documents only, both, or turned off. If an option is missing, see why features differ.
Spreadsheets (.xlsx) aren't a call upload — they're used for a separate, opt-in import of call metadata. Plain-text formats such as .txt, .csv, .vtt, and .srt aren't accepted for a call; for a text transcript, use .pdf or .docx.
Attaching files to JuniorGPT
In a JuniorGPT chat, you can attach documents and images to ground the conversation:
- Documents:
.pdf,.docx,.pptx,.txt - Images:
.png,.jpg/.jpeg— read as images, so JuniorGPT can answer questions about what they show.
Limits: up to 10 files per upload, and 100 MB per file. CSV files aren't accepted.

Questions
Why can't I upload a .txt file as a call?
A call upload takes audio or video, or a .pdf or .docx transcript. For plain-text notes,
paste them in with Take notes, or attach the .txt to JuniorGPT instead.
